What even is a swede?(Research)
The role I am in my swede project is sound designer. I will need to further my knowledge about sound designers and sweding since, I have no clue what sweding is and a little bit of what sound designers do for a swede. Lack of this information would result in a bad outcome for the sound design grading section of the project.
The purpose of a swede?
A swede is an ultra-low budget duplicate of a popular scene from a film, that is usually created with items you already have at home like action figures in your room. How did sweding become a thing? The word sweding is created by Michel Gondry's be kind rewind film. In the film 2 characters exactly lost their VHS stock and had no other choice but to recreate the films with no budget, no edits, and single takes. This resulted in the film word swede.
In this video it shows how they used a small number of people to create a scene from the Mean Girls movie. Also, they didn't use household items, which is usually the norm in swedes. The majority of people who helped come up with the idea of the recreated video was playing a role in it as well instead of having to find 3 other people besides the ones they did.
