Shot Ideas
Our group has spent time discussing shot ideas for our film, we shared some of our different visual approaches and building off each other's suggestions. We discussed the opening scene, talking about how it should look and what shots would be best fit to introduce our story. While I did come up with a shot for the opening which they agreed on with me, which is the first shot idea below . We are still open to changes as we continue to build on our script.
Idea #1
At the very beginning in the opening scene I feel like it should be introduced with a dolly shot moving forward slowly from down the hallway or at an angle to see Lena complaining and Claire comforting her. As that Is happening you will hear their conversation start off at a lower level and gradually become louder the closer we get to them.

Idea #2
While Lena is complaining about never finding love, I envisioned Claire getting her phone to show Lena a dating app she's heard of before. This type of shot is called an over-the-shoulder shot as it will be a shot taken over the two of them as Claire shows her the app then eventually Lena requesting a guy she feels is her perfect match.

Idea #3
Another shot idea I had in mind was a scene showing Michael through the car mirror, known as a reflection shot. the shot would be at an angle to show Michael grinning/smiling after his plan went. This shot also would bring laughter for the audience watching our short film as well.
